How it all started

Hi,
My name is Dragos and one of my passions is Photography.
I think that this passion is one that found me and not one that I found :)
It all started during the 90's, when my father let me use our family film camera. Unfortunately I don't remember the maker of the camera but it was a simple point and shoot camera with nothing special. It was fun using it, although I didn't know anything about photography or how I should take a photo.
Who knew that a child's play will end-up to where I am now, but I think for the most of us this is how it happens.
After the film camera and together with my passion for technology, in 2003 I bought my first mobile phone with a digital camera. It was the Sony Ericsson T230 and it ha a 0.3MP detachable camera module. I remember that I didn't had too much space for lots of photos, but that didn't stop me to have fun with the camera.
The Second digital camera that I had came also via a mobile phone and it was the Motorola E398 that had an incorporated 0.3MP photo camera.
As you can see I was somehow ahead of the times, because although everyone was focusing on point and shoot cameras, I was looking at what the mobile industry could offer at that time (now times have changed).
In the year 2006 alongside my mobile phone (at that time a Nokia 3250), I wanted to see how a small compact point and shoot camera would compare, so I got a BenQ DC E300.
From the start I got in love with the camera, not for the performance, but more for the design and ease of use.
I think this camera was the point where I started to think (just a bit) about photography quality, because with it I realized that I took really awful pictures - out of focus most of the time, but usually getting the subject in the photo :)
From all the mentions above I don't have any photos, but starting with my second point and shoot camera I still have some.
And having this said my second digital camera was the Canon IXUS 80 IS and this was the camera whit which I started to take diverse photos, not only photos of friends and family.
Here are some examples:

As you can see these photos weren't the best in quality or in technique and this was based on the fact that the passion didn't heat me until then. All the previous photos were taken in the year 2009, but skipping to 2011, using the same camera, I started taking some better photos:

After all these years when I took photography only as a fun, casual activity, in 2014 I started to get more and more interested by it and then I think the passion hit me. So I went and got myself a better digital camera, although it wasn't a DSLR or Mirrorless, it was a Bridge camera with full manual dials and settings: Fujifilm HS30EXR.
Getting to this point, where it all began, I will leave you with some of my first photos taken with the Fuji HS30EXR and come back in the next blog post with the story of my first camera that made me realize that Photography is a passion of mine and it also gave me the idea of DragossoPhotography.
